Every stay in an Accommodation in Noosa holiday home is sure to create memories to last a lifetime. In this guest story, one of our recent visitors reflects on their holiday in Noosa Australia and shares a snapshot into their favourite way to spend a day in this stunning part of the world.
Our Stay in Noosaville
This was our first time visiting the Sunshine Coast, and we weren’t sure where the best place to stay in Noosa would be. With some help from the lovely team at Accommodation in Noosa, we decided to stay in Noosaville at 3 Robert Street. But nothing could quite prepare us for how incredible the location would be! The views of the Noosa River from the home were absolutely stunning, and all of the lovely restaurants on Gympie Terrace were just a short stroll away. Staying in Noosaville was also a fabulous choice, as we truly felt like we had the best of both worlds. We were less than 10 minutes from Hastings Street and Noosa Main Beach, so we could spend our days sunbaking at the beach and strolling along the riverfront in the evening.
The Ideal Noosa Day
After a week in this paradise, we managed to nail our perfect day in Noosa. We’d start off by waking up (early bird gets the worm) and driving over to Rick’s Artisan Pies & Sourdough in the Noosa Industrial Area. Despite the unassuming location next to a petrol station, this is arguably the best bakery in Noosa, if not Australia! After picking up all of the breakfast supplies, consisting of a perfectly baked sourdough baguette, lemon cronut and raspberry and custard tart, we’d head back to our accommodation to enjoy our treats.
We were blessed with tons of sunshine on our trip, so we spent a lot of time at the beach. Our favourites included Noosa Main Beach, Little Cove and Sunshine Beach. We’d swim, sunbake, build sandcastles, stroll along the sand and just soak up all of the coastal vibes.
We’d often spend the morning at the beach, then head over to the bustling Hastings Street for a bite to eat. There were so many incredible cafes and restaurants, we were completely spoiled for choice! We quite like a casual meal for lunch, so our favourite spots included Raw & Rice for a fresh and delicious poke bowl, Milk Bar for a yummy takeaway salad and Noosa Juicer for the perfect acai bowl.
After a morning at the beach, we all tended to get a bit sleepy so we headed back to our holiday home for a cheeky afternoon nap. A holiday siesta is mandatory in this household! We always indulged in an afternoon pick me up, so we would walk down the road to Amo Gelato and indulge in an affogato or gelato (make sure you try the pistachio and passionfruit flavours). We loved just sitting by the river, eating our icecreams with the gentle afternoon breeze on our skin.
Sometimes we’d head back to the beach for a quick afternoon dip, other times we would take a stroll along the river or on Hastings Street to browse the shops. In the evenings, we loved getting dressed up to go out for a nice dinner as a family. We found a fair few gems that we’ll absolutely be returning to the next time we come to Noosa. Our favourites included 250 Grammi for the most incredibly delicious pizza and pasta, Flo’s Creperie in the Junction for yummy French food and Izakaya Ate for some scrumptious ramen and bento boxes. After dinner, we just loved coming back to our accommodation and unwinding in front of the TV with a cup of tea.
Our Favourite Things To Do in Noosa
We discovered so many incredible things to do in Noosa on our holiday! Some of our favourites included:
- Taking a morning walk along the Noosa National Park Coastal Walk. We saw some whales along the way!
- Browsing the boutiques on Hastings Street.
- An early morning grocery run at the Noosa Farmers Markets, the fruit and veggies here are absolutely unmatched.
- Watching the live music at sunset on the Noosa Boathouse lawn with some takeaway fish and chips.
- Spending an afternoon at Noosa Mini Golf, playing a round with the kids and then unwinding in the outdoor beer garden with a well earned tinnie.
