Things to Do in Noosa this Spring 2025

Spring in Noosa is one of the best times to visit, the days are warm, the nights are cool, and that unmistakable sense of sunshine and salt in the air. Whether you love adventure, family outings, or relaxed days exploring, here are some ideas to make your spring getaway unforgettable.

Climb Mount Coolum

If you’re up for a challenge, Mount Coolum is calling. Coolum is just a 15-minute drive from Noosa, and if you don’t have a car, there are plenty of buses that run regularly between the two.

The 90-minute return hike starts with a gentle walk through native bushland before the track climbs steeply up the rock face. Take your time, pause for the views, and when you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with incredible 360-degree vistas of the ocean and hinterland.

Start at the Mount Coolum Car Park, located off Tanah Street West (just off David Low Way), about 3.5 km south of Coolum Beach. You’ll find off-road parking on the corner of Jarnahill Drive and Tanah Street West — then simply follow the National Parks and Wildlife signs to the walking track.

Hire a Self-Drive Boat on Hastings Street

For something a little more laid-back, hire a boat from Boardwalk Boats at the end of Hastings Street. It’s an easy, no-license-required way to explore the Noosa River. Pack a picnic, anchor near a sandbank, and enjoy a swim or two before heading back at sunset.

Explore the Hinterland Golden Triangle

For a relaxed day trip, hit the road and explore the scenic Noosa Hinterland loop through Eumundi, Cooroy, and Pomona, known by locals as the Golden Triangle.

Start your journey with a round at Noosa Mini Golf or Noosa Hills Golf, then head to The Doonan for lunch. The kids can burn off energy on the trampolines and jumping pillow while you enjoy a local wine or wood-fired pizza.

Next stop: Eumundi.

Browse the famous Eumundi Markets, pop into the historic bookshop, and grab a pastry from the bakery before continuing on to Cooroy. Here you’ll find boutique shops, homewares, and one of the best playgrounds on the coast.

Finish your loop in Pomona, a charming country town with more boutique shopping and the adventurous option to climb Mount Cooroora (only for the fit and adventurous) or reward yourself instead with a drink at Pomona Distillery. On your way back, stop at the Noosa Botanic Gardens on Lake Macdonald, it’s the perfect spot to unwind among the trees.

Beach Days & Sunsets

Of course, no visit to Noosa is complete without beach time. Stroll along Main Beach, chase waves at Sunshine Beach, or take the coastal walk to the Fairy Pools. End the day with a golden-hour view from Laguna Lookout, a must for any spring evening.

Spring really is the season to explore, unwind, and reconnect. Whether you’re hiking, shopping, or simply soaking up the sun, Noosa and its hinterland are full of ways to make lasting memories.
